LOVB LA Will Play at Intuit Dome
Alexis Ohanian's expansion team gets the Clippers' 18,300-seat building for a season starting in December. It still does not have a name.
LOVB Los Angeles will play its home matches at Intuit Dome, the 18,300-seat building the Clippers opened in 2024. The season starts in December, League One Volleyball's third.
The arena hosts basketball at the 2028 Olympics and was given the 2027 Laver Cup in June, so a volleyball team nobody has named yet is moving into a building already booked for two of the biggest events coming to Los Angeles.
This is the same league whose ownership stakes in seven of its ten teams changed hands at roughly $20 million each this month. Zé Roberto, whom LOVB calls the most decorated coach in volleyball, took the Los Angeles job on 12 August.

Volleyball already has one of the largest and most passionate communities in Southern California. What it hasn't had is a professional stage that matches the scale of that fandom. Intuit Dome gives us exactly that. We're building LOVB Los Angeles with the ambition to create one of the best live experiences in women's sports – and there's no better place to do it than LA.
The stage argument is the league's, and the calendar is the part worth holding onto. LOVB will be selling tickets in December in a building that hosts Olympic basketball less than two years later.
Los Angeles is one of four teams joining for this season, alongside Miami, Minnesota and San Francisco, which takes League One Volleyball from six clubs to ten.
The team put the venue out itself on 26 August. It launches its brand on 25 September, by invitation, and holds a seat-selection event and a free fan festival the day after. The arena is booked and the coach is hired for a franchise with no name.
